"Joanna helped me open up to a situation I was in the midst of experiencing and to gain perspective on what direction to follow.

I was able to say, 'Yes, I see that,' and know that a connection had been established and insight gained."

Joanna's Personal Journey:

I started practicing yoga from a book while still in my teens. I was hooked. I have maintained a consistent meditation and yoga practice since my instruction in Transcendental Meditation in 1971.

Since becoming a teacher of classic yogic meditation in 1975 I have taught hundreds of students how to bring peace and tranquility to their lives. Starting in 1999 I added yoga asana and healing yoga practices to my skill set and and have taught hundreds of yoga classes since.

My goal as a teacher is to live what I teach, blending technical skill with compassion and joy to inspire students with knowledge of their wholeness. This journey has taken me beyond the confines of a yoga (asana) classroom, to study how yoga's many practices can be used for deep healing and transformation.

My YogaHealth Body-based Transformative Process is especially helpful for individuals healing from childhood trauma, sexual abuse, eating disorders (over and under eating), and PTSD. The gentle combination of movement, touch and conversation integrates body-mind-spirit for profound and lasting transformation.

Please email me with your questions about my YogaHealth Body-based Transformative Process, and for personal and group classes in Yoga Nidra Meditation and/or Yoga for adults, seniors, and people recovering from traumatic experiences. It is my joy to serve you.
